Why do we sing God’s praises while wickedness reigns? Are we to be pitied for our ignorance? Why did Christians sing God’s praises as they were lit on fire or fed to lions for sport? Or killed by the very people to whom they took the Gospel? Can we really claim allegiance and honor for a God who is said to be all-powerful and who epitomizes all that is good and right, if he allows evil to not only exist but to flourish? Psalm 75 bears the back-and-forth song of God’s people pleading for answers to these questions…and God answers.
